Improving Collision Avoidance Behavior of a Target-Searching Algorithm for Kilobots

Collision avoidance in the area of swarm robotics is very important. The lacking ability such collision mentioned as one important reason for sparse distribution small test robots named Kilobots. In this research paper, two new algorithms providing a strategy are presented and compared with previous results. first algorithm uses randomness to decide which several approaching Kilobots stopped defined time before starting move again. second tries determine assumed position based on its radio signal strength then away opposite direction by rotation. results, especially algorithm, promising number collisions can be significantly reduced.
